WELCOME TO THE MULTILINGUAL & MULTICULTURAL CENTER

Portland Public Schools' Multilingual & Multicultural Center provides support for multilingual students and families through registration assistance for new students, language access for families who need translation and interpretation services, parent orientation sessions for new arrivals to the United States, parent workshop sessions, and Make It Happen - a college readiness program for multilingual students.

Seal of Biliteracy Awards Resolution

The Seal of Biliteracy is a formal recognition awarded by a state department of education or local district to a graduating high school student who has attained proficiency in English literacy and other world languages by the end of their time as students. It is a statement of accomplishment that helps to signal evidence of a student's readiness for college, career and for engagement as a global citizen.
