On Thursday, February 29th, The Multilingual & Multicultural Center, as part of Parent University, be hosting a talk about protecting children from the dangers of the Internet. The talk will be led by Jayne Hitchcock, author and leading cybersecurity expert.
Talk is from 5:30-7:30 pm at Lincoln Middle School. Refreshments and childcare provided. Translation services available upon request.

Youth Conference
In March 2018, some Make It Happen students presented breakout sessions for WSSYC. Their presentations included Women in Islam, The Effects of Race on Youth, and Are You Racist? Make It Happen Talent Show
In February 2018, Make It Happen students from all three high schools came together to share their talents and connect with each other. They shared talents including dances, and spoken word poetry, and even got to see Make It Happen Director Tim Cronin spin a basketball on his finger.
Make It Happen College Visit
As they are making their college decisions, Make It Happen students take some time to visit schools that they have applied to. Here is a group of seniors visiting Saint Joseph's of Maine in December 2017.
Language, Culture, and Identity Conference
In October 2017, the Center held the LCI conference for educators all around New England and beyond. Participants listened to Jeff Zwiers' keynote address on authentic communication and developing language skills and chose from a variety of sessions throughout the day.
United Way Day of Caring
Make It Happen students participated in the October 2017 Day of Caring. Together with students from other towns, they turned old newspaper boxes into little libraries and helped prepare early learning activities for young children.
Back to School Fair
In September 2017, the Multilingual & Multicultural Center held a Back to School Fair to help families fill out their first day packets, learn about resources and activities at their children's schools, and connect with local organizations to learn about community resources.
